Retirement of the Azure Information Protection Unified Labelling add-in for Office

The Azure Information Protection (AIP) Unified Labelling add-in for Office will be retired in April 2024 and as part of this retirement Azure Information Protection Plan 1 has now been removed from the price list. This is to encourage customers to purchase subscription plans instead.

AIP aims to provide advanced classification, labeling, and protection features and is included in plans that contain Microsoft Purview Information Protection, i.e. Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Microsoft 365 E3/E5 etc.

Partners can no longer transact the AIP P1 SKU, however, existing and renewing customers can continue to utilise it. This change impacts all customer segments, including Commercial, Academic, Government, and non-profit/charity organisations.

For more details, refer to the AIP Unified Labelling add-in update blog.

Contact your account manager or the Azure Practice for more details on these changes.
