Microsoft has delayed the removal of renewals on Azure Reserved Instances. This removal was originally scheduled for January 1st 2024, but has since been pushed back to July 1st 2024.

Any Reservations purchased from July 1st 2024 will not be able to be exchanged, whilst any ordered before this date will be allowed one final exchange from July 1st 2024. Cancellation of Reservations will still be possible, and there has been no announcement yet on Microsoft bringing in the 12% cancellation charge.
