Microsoft Azure Active Directory is now Microsoft Entra ID
Last year, Microsoft launched several new product families including Microsoft Entra.
The Entra product family includes multi-cloud identity and network access solutions which allow our partners to protect identities and secure access to resources.
The product family has grown in the last year, it originally included three products:
- Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
- Microsoft Entra Permissions Management
- Microsoft Entra Verified ID
But has since seen the addition of:
- Microsoft Entra ID Governance
- Microsoft Entra Workload ID
- Microsoft Entra Internet Access
- Microsoft Entra Private Access
To simplify product naming and unify the product family, Azure AD will now be known as Microsoft Entra ID.
What do I need to do?
There is no action required from the partner. The product capabilities and licenses etc will all remain the same as will any sign-in URLs and APIs and any existing configurations etc will remain unchanged.
Microsoft will be notifying partners through the website and admin portals and will be altering all documentation with a view to completion by the end of 2023.
We will be updating the naming in CASCADE accordingly, if you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to your intY Account Manager.
