The platform for modern partnering
What is the commercial marketplace?
The commercial marketplace is Microsoft’s online store for partners and customers to purchase cloud-based applications and services built by industry-leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Hear from our Microsoft Vendor Business Manager, Kristina Bennington, below to find out more about Microsoft’s commercial marketplace!
The two stores of the commercial marketplace include:
Azure Marketplace
Take advantage of Azure Marketplace and access a wide range of solutions built on, or for, Azure and designed for IT professionals and developers. There’s also a selection of consulting and professional services to help customers get started with or drive the usage of Azure. All solutions and services sold through the marketplace have been authorised through the Microsoft Azure Certified Program to ensure they are compatible with Azure prior to being listed.
Microsoft AppSource
Showcases Software–as–a–Service (SaaS) applications that extend the capabilities of Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll also find an array of consulting or professional services offerings to accelerate the usage of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
81% of organisations already use cloud computing or have applications in the cloud.1

How do I benefit?
How can a Microsoft Partner benefit from the commercial marketplace?
Microsoft’s commercial marketplace is the ultimate mechanism for modern partnering. By purchasing through the marketplace, partners can gain trusted advice and preserve delivery whilst optimising costs but maintaining elasticity.
Elastic Consumption models enable “Do More with Less” – vendors, partners and customers are modernising and optimising.2
By utilising marketplace capabilities, partners can sell a modernising and broad application portfolio, unlock incremental, profitable, and repeatable high-value software business with new and old customers, build enhanced trust, and drive procurement transformation and new sales paths.
By 2025, Canalys predicts that nearly a third of all marketplace purchases will flow through partners.3
By purchasing through the commercial marketplace, you eliminate the challenges of managing multiple vendor relationships and invoices. Your Marketplace purchases will appear alongside your other Azure charges on your Azure consumption invoice from intY each month.
Take advantage of the commercial marketplace as a mechanism of transformation to deliver enterprise-level software solutions and use the power of intY and your own services to be that real trusted advisor, professional services deliverer, and cost-optimiser – start consuming modern applications and services in a modern way.
