As of October 5th 2023, the new Microsoft Teams app for Windows and Mac is generally available. The new Teams is also in public preview for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and government cloud customers.

Between now and March 31st 2024, you can continue to use classic Teams. However, we suggest that classic Teams users update to new Teams as soon as possible to benefit from the new features and capabilities only available in new Teams.

From March 31st 2024, classic users will be automatically transitioned to the new Teams app.
