intY NonStop Broadband is a complete, fixed cost Managed Service connectivity package designed to keep your office online in all conditions. With integrated broadband and 3G links and a managed router your mission critical applications will always be able to get through when you need them.

In the event of a broadband failure the unit automatically switches to work on the 3G line until the problem is resolved. There is a generous 5GB of 3G data allowance included each month (enough for about 4 days usage for a typical small office). The intY Support desk monitor all lines and will report the broadband fault immediately.

Automatic backup of your broadband
If your office runs Software-as-a-Service applications then a resilient Internet line is essential. Most offices now require online email access all the time. NonStop Broadband is tightly integrated with other intY Managed services like MailDefender. In the event of an ADSL failure SMTP email traffic to your onsite mail server can be automatically re-routed to the temporary 3G IP address. WebDefender can be used to apply a ‘restricted use’ policy so only key applications and users can use the 3G line.

Frequently asked Questions
Can I migrate my existing Broadband?
Yes, at no charge to you. It is a requirement that we control the line for monitoring and service management reasons.

Can I use the 3G dongle on my laptop? 
No. Because of the way the service is set up, that is not allowed.

Will it be fast enough for my office on 3G? 
The 3G+ wireless service can work at up to 7.2 Mb/s in the best conditions. You can use the Orange 3G signal strength checker to see what quality of service you will receive.
